The best restaurant in Disney Village

Disney Village is the section between the two Disneyland Paris theme parks and the Disney Hotels. You can go here all day for food, drinks and souvenirs. That starts with breakfast and ends with dancing until the wee hours of the morning.

To access the stores and restaurants in Disney Village, you do not need an admission ticket. After being checked by security you will be granted access to the area. Even if you don’t sleep in a Disney Hotel or don’t have a valid admission ticket.

Many people will go to Disney Village to eat. But with so many choices, you may be wondering, what is the best restaurant in Disney Village?

We have been coming to Disneyland Paris since 1993 and have tried almost every restaurant several times in those almost 30 years. This is our choice for the best restaurant!

Restaurants in Disney Village

Before we land on the best restaurant, here’s an overview of the restaurants in Disney Village:

  • Annette’s Diner
  • Cafe Mickey
  • Cool Stop
  • Earl of Sandwich
  • Five Guys
  • King Ludwig’s Castle
  • La Grange at Billy Bob’s Country Western Saloon
  • McDonald’s
  • New York Style Sandwiches
  • Planet Hollywood
  • Rainforest Cafe
  • Sports Bar
  • Starbucks Coffee
  • The Steakhouse
  • Vapiano

As you can see, you have plenty of choice and there is something for everyone. Let’s look at each one.

Annette’s Diner

Annette’s Diner is a restaurant with table service. There is also something immediately special about this, as the waitresses wear roller skates, a true spectacle.

They serve mainly burgers here that are made fresh in the open kitchen. And in doing so, they are also known for their delicious, but mighty, milkshakes.

Cafe Mickey

Café Mickey is the restaurant in Disney Village where you can eat with Disney characters. They won’t join you at your table, but they will walk around the restaurant and stop at each table. Here they chat, you can take a picture with them and ask for an autograph.

Although you go to this restaurant for the experience with the Disney characters, you can also eat there, of course. Café Mickey has an Italian menu with fresh pizzas, pastas and meat dishes.

Cool Stop

Cool Stop is not really a restaurant but a food truck with some tables in front of it. Here they serve familiar fast food dishes including hot dogs and pancakes.

Earl of Sandwich

Earl of Sandwich is a popular breakfast and lunch restaurant. Here you get freshly made sandwiches that you can eat in the restaurant or take away. They have a wide selection of toppings and you can have the sandwiches made entirely to your taste, similar to Subway.

In addition to sandwiches, there are some other dishes on the menu, including soups and salads.

Five Guys

Five Guys is an American hamburger restaurant that can be compared to McDonald’s. Although the burgers here are generally of a much better quality. And the piece of meat on it also many times larger.

It’s quite a bite so usually one hamburger bun is enough. But you can also order fries and other side dishes if you want. There are seats in the restaurant to eat your meal, but you can also take it with you.

King Ludwig’s Castle

King Ludwig’s Castle is like an old castle inside. Lots of wooden details and knights. With a German menu. This menu includes such familiar dishes as pretzels, a half-grilled chicken, various meat and veggie dishes and, of course, a schnitzel.

You can also order fresh flammkuchen there that you can keep for yourself, but also easily share. The same goes for the beer mugs!

La Grange at Billy Bob’s Country Western Saloon

Billy Bob’s Country Western Saloon is a bar in Disney Village that includes a restaurant. The restaurant is called La Grange and is located in the same building as the bar, on the second floor.

At La Grange, they serve a running buffet of all kinds of tex-mex dishes. Lots of meat, grilled vegetables and lots of desserts. Because of the – for Disney – relatively low price € 34.99 per person you can eat unlimited. Children pay only €17.99 and there is plenty to eat for them too, there are always fries, pizzas and fresh vegetables.

McDonald’s

Well, the McDonald’s most of you will know. There is also a McDonald’s restaurant in Disney Village. Ordering here is also easy via the screens. Just in Dutch. Just keep in mind that even though the menu is similar to here, the burgers (and chip sauce) taste different in France. Personally, I like the chip sauce in France better. But of course that’s personal.

In this McDonald’s in Disney Village, seating is limited. It is better to take the food to your room or find a place outside to eat it.

New York Style Sandwiches

New York Style Sandwiches is a small restaurant in Disney Village where you can get sandwiches, pizzas, pasta and wraps. They’re not the most adventurous dishes, but they’re quite affordable and easy to take to your room or to the Disney parks.

Planet Hollywood

As you can see, the Planet Hollywood building is impossible to miss. It is a wildly popular restaurant with an American menu. Think meat, fish and veg dishes like burgers and spare ribs.

Inside, it’s almost as special. In fact, there are all items from famous movies. Which are therefore really worn by the actors in films like Lord of the Rings and Terminator. Nice to check out quietly while you’re in here. It is a table service restaurant that can get quite noisy. In fact, there are all large TV screens on which pieces from famous movies are shown. With matching sound system.

Rainforest Cafe

Rainforest Café is an extraordinary restaurant. Not so much because of the menu, which is pretty standard, but because of the atmosphere. In fact, the restaurant is like a jungle inside. With moving animals. For children, a true experience. Not the best place for adults to eat quietly, as it is really a family restaurant. But for families ideal!

Sports Bar

The Sports Bar is a bar with a restaurant section attached. While enjoying a beer, wine, hamburger or pizza, watch sports games here. This could be a popular soccer game or something topical like the Olympics. It is a table service restaurant where the majority of the tables are outside under a canopy.

Starbucks

Starbucks you probably know by name, too. This well-known American coffee chain also has a branch in Disney Village. In addition to various coffees, you can also get breakfast and various savory and sweet snacks here. But you should definitely go here for the cups too. As you know, every Starbucks location has its own “You are here” cups and so does Disneyland Paris.

Be careful though, my Starbucks cup from Disneyland Paris broke the other day when I put tea water in it. So they’re more collector’s items….

The Steakhouse

The Steakhouse is a restaurant in Disney Village with a lot of meat on the menu. Great pieces for true enthusiasts. There are also some other options including a hamburger (can also be ordered vega) but this is still the place for real meatlovers.

It’s a pretty pricey restaurant. The most economical option is to take the menu of 34 euros. This consists of a starter and main course without drinks.

Vapiano

We ended up at the last restaurant in Disney Village: Vapiano. This is a pizza restaurant where you can eat fresh pizza inside or take it out. They also have other Italian dishes on the menu including pastas, antipasti, garlic bread and salads.

Through the Vapiano.fr website, they also offer the click and collect option. You then order online in advance and can pick up this order at the appointed time.

What is the best restaurant in Disney Village?

Now that you’ve read all the descriptions of the restaurants, you may have already chosen a favorite. The best restaurant in Disney Village is also very personal.

For us, it’s Annette’s because of its value for money. Here you can just eat well without a huge bite out of your budget. We usually go here for lunch because it’s not so crowded then either.

For families

For families, the best restaurants in Disney Village are Café Mickey, Rainforest Café and Annette’s. These are the restaurants where there is plenty to see and do besides eating. You go here for the experience. And the food is also fine. Especially if you have Disney fans, Café Mickey is a must anyway. You can have your picture taken with the Disney characters, including Mickey Mouse, at your leisure.

For couples/groups without children

Want to eat something at Disney Village as a couple or group of adults? Then the following restaurants are a good choice: Planet Hollywood, La Grange at Billy Bob’s Country Western Saloon and the Steakhouse.

Planet Hollywood has the least good food of the three but the most atmosphere. For a budget-friendly option, I would go to La Grange and for a good piece of meat, the Steakhouse.

Then again, Annette’s is still a good option if you’re craving a good burger.

Finally, then, King Ludwig’s is a good option if you’re craving a German beer in addition to your meal.

Cheapest restaurants

Don’t want to spend too much money on food? Then you can go to McDonald’s, Earl of Sandwich, Vapiano, Five Guys or New York Style Sandwiches. These are all restaurants where you have to find your own table after ordering. So you won’t be served, but it does make a difference in the price.

If you have something to celebrate

If you have something to celebrate, then of course you do it in a special restaurant. There is only one of those in Disney Village namely The Steakhouse. A more upscale restaurant with large cuts of meat on the menu. There are also vega options available for both adults and children. And because of the more luxurious experience, perfect if you have something to celebrate.
