Casey’s Corner is a restaurant in Disneyland Paris. You’ll find the restaurant at the end of Main Street U.S.A. on the left. For us, a visit to Casey’s Corner has become a tradition. We end every visit to Disneyland Paris with a hot dog. This is also the specialty of the house and the only thing I would get at Casey’s, except for fries and drinks.
First, let’s see what’s on the menu.
Casey’s Corner Menu
The menu at Casey’s Corner is based on the food you might order at an American baseball game. Mainly hot dogs that is.
There are currently 3 varieties to choose from:
- The classic hot dog consisting of a bun and a hot dog
- Hot dog bun with cheese and fried onions
- Hot dog sandwich with vegetarian chili
Other dishes on the menu include a salad, chicken nuggets, a bowl of cherry tomatoes, or French fries.
You can finish the meal with dessert, choosing from fruit, yogurt, a brownie, or ice cream. And they also have a variety of drinks on the menu, both hot and cold, and they even have a beer. At least beer, they have Bud, American beer. Then there are better beers to have in France.
What does a meal at Casey’s Corner cost?
Unlike the other fast-food restaurants in Disneyland Paris, you cannot order a menu at Casey’s Corner. So you will have to put these together yourself.
Hot dog sandwiches start at €9.50. That’s quite a bit of money for a bun with a frankfurter sausage. But it’s not a small sandwich. Just look at the photo at the top of the article. You could even share it as a snack. For a meal, I would still count on 1 hot dog per person.
If you want to add a portion of fries, then it costs € 3.80. Prefer a salad? That costs € 7.
Dessert starts at €3, just like the drinks.
For a meal consisting of a hot dog sandwich, fries, and a drink, you spend just over €17 per person at Casey’s Corner.
That’s pretty pricey, even for Disneyland Paris.
We usually save money by sharing the drink and fries. We always take our own hot dog, though, because I like food with my sauce and drown my hot dog in ketchup and mustard. My boyfriend is horrified at the thought of such a sandwich. So we both order our own hot dog.
Is eating at Casey’s Corner a must?
For us, Casey’s Corner is a must. A regular fixture on every visit. When I was young and went to Disneyland Paris with my parents, we regularly got one of those hot dogs, so for me, it’s pure nostalgia.
But I also understand being shocked at almost 10 euros for a hot dog. And to be perfectly honest, it is a delicious sandwich, but not 10 euro delicious if you get what I mean, even if you order it with cheese or chili.
It is also a difficult restaurant when it is cold or raining. The number of seats inside is very limited. There are plenty of tables outside, but you only want to sit there when the weather is good.
On colder days, it is best to eat the hot dog in one of the two arcades. These are covered passages that run parallel to Main Street U.S.A.
Alternatives to Casey’s Corner
Are you craving a quick bite to eat when you’re at Disneyland Park? Then there are a number of alternatives to Casey’s Corner.
The first is Café Hyperion in Discoveryland. This is the building with the zeppelin. Here you can order a hamburger menu including a drink and ice cream for €16 per person.
You can also order the burgers separately; then they cost €11 each.
My tip, order a children’s cheeseburger if you want an affordable snack. It costs €5 and is available in chicken or beef. If you also order a portion of fries, which you can share with someone else, you’re done for less than 9 euros. That makes a difference in your budget.
Another way to save money is to order the salad, which costs €7.50 but is not nearly as tasty as a burger.
Another good alternative to Casey’s Corner is the Cowboy Cookout Barbecue in Frontierland. For the same amount as at Casey’s, €17, you get a mixed grill with all kinds of bbq meat, served with fries, a drink, and a cake for dessert. A great dish to share, by the way.
Finally, the two pizza restaurants, Bella Notte and Colonel Hathi’s Pizza Outpost, are a good alternative to Casey’s Corner. For 5 euros, you can order a mini pizza in the shape of Mickey Mouse. A normal-sized pizza here starts at €11 and is a portion you can definitely share. The garlic bread is also a must; it costs just over €3.
In short, Casey’s Corner is certainly not bad. The hot dogs are fine, and it is a nice location to get a drink. The only downside is the price. For the same amount, there are larger meals to find in Disneyland Park.
But you can also, like us, make going there a nice tradition.
