If you’re a Disney fan, then Disneyland Paris is your ultimate destination. It is the most visited theme park in Europe and offers a magical experience that’s hard to find anywhere else. One of the most enchanting experiences that Disneyland Paris has to offer is the chance to dine with your favourite Disney characters. Whether you’re a Mickey Mouse, Belle, or Tiana fan, you can now enjoy a delicious meal while rubbing shoulders with these beloved characters.
Enjoy a unique dining experience with your favourite Disney characters at Disneyland Paris
Disneyland Paris offers a range of experiences where you can dine with beloved Disney characters.
One of the most popular options is the Auberge de Cendrillon restaurant in Fantasyland at Disneyland Park. Here, you can enjoy a delicious French meal while being visited by Cinderella, Prince Charming, and other fairytale characters.
Another great option is the Plaza Gardens Restaurant on Main Street U.S.A. This restaurant offers a buffet-style meal with a variety of international cuisine and hosts different Disney characters throughout the day. They even have a great character breakfast.
About the character dining experience
This is a great way to meet the characters that you love in a more personal setting. Not only will you be able to take photos with the characters, but you’ll also hear them tell stories, and you can ask them questions.
The characters will make rounds through the restaurant, stopping at every table. They will pose for multiple photos, and pay personal attention to your little ones.
During your meal, several characters will come out. At Auberge de Cendrillon you will meet Cinderella, and one or two other princesses. We’ve even seen the mice from Cinderella, and her evil stepsisters. Most of the time the princes will join them, and they will even do some dancing.
How much does it cost to dine with characters?
Character dining at Disneyland Paris is a bit more expensive than a regular meal. At Auberge de Cendrillon, you pay €95 for adults and €50 for children for a four-course meal. The food is pretty high-end as it is French cuisine. But since it’s the best way to meet multiple Disney Princesses, dining here is worth it.
The Plaza Gardens restaurant is less expensive, €45 for adults and €25 for children. The food is also less adventurous, as we ate mostly pizza and potatoes. But then again, the interaction with the characters and the smiles on the faces of our little ones was priceless.
Making character dining reservations
As you can imagine, character dining at Disneyland Paris is very popular. Therefore, you need to make dining reservations as early as possible. For Disney Hotel guests, this can be done up to 12 months, and other guests can make reservations two months in advance.
You can make reservations through the Disneyland Paris app. If none are available, keep checking, as more availability is usually added.
Using the Disneyland Paris meal plan
Character Dining is not included in the Disneyland Paris meal plans. The only exception is guests of the Disneyland Hotel who can book the Plus Extra plan that includes one character meal.
You can use the other meal vouchers at the Character restaurants, but there will be an upcharge depending on the preferred restaurant.
Is Character Dining at Disneyland Paris worth it?
We believe it is, especially at Auberge de Cendrillon. It’s a great way for your little ones to meet their favourite princesses in a more personal setting. The only other way to meet the Princesses is by going to the Princess Pavillion, which usually has a wait of over 2 hours.
The Plaza Gardens restaurant also offers a great way to meet characters like Mickey, Minnie, and other favourites. The character interactions at your table are priceless, and will surely make your little ones’ day.
Don’t forget to make your reservations!
