A city trip with children is a fun way to introduce them to other countries. Discovering new cities and soaking up the culture. Paris is an excellent destination for that. Uncluttered, relatively safe, and a historic building on every street corner. Typical outings include visiting the Eiffel Tower, a cruise on the Seine, and viewing the Mona Lisa at the Louvre.
Many people combine a trip to Paris with a visit to Mickey Mouse and his friends at Disneyland Paris. Is that easy to do?
City break with kids to Paris and Disneyland Paris
If you make a city trip with kids to Paris, you can very easily combine it with Disneyland Paris. The amusement park is not in the city itself, but about 30 minutes away from it.
If you want to combine the two, you can choose to either stay in Paris or Disneyland Paris. If you are sleeping in a hotel in Paris, then I would not go by car but by train. You can then also take the train to the amusement park.
If you prefer to travel by car, then the best option is to stay near Disneyland Paris. Here you can park for free, don’t have to face the Paris traffic, and you can easily travel between the city and the amusement park by train (RER-A).
How many days to visit both Paris and Disneyland Paris?
If you combine a city trip with kids to Paris with Disneyland, then the next question would be how many days?
It depends on how much you want to see. Do you want to have seen only the city of Paris, including the most famous sights: the Eiffel Tower, Louvre, Arc de Triump,h and Notre Dame? Then it is possible to see everything in 1 day. You can choose to walk or to get a day ticket for public transportation.
Usually, though, we advise going to Paris at least for two days. So you can also include some shopping and dining. And you don’t have to rush through everything.
How many days for Disneyland Paris?
If you want to see everything at Disneyland Paris, then I would also go here for two days. There are two amusement parks, each with its own—not to be missed—attractions. You can buy one ticket for both Parks, allowing you to switch as many times as you like. A ticket for two parks only costs €20 extra, so I would personally select this option.
Only have time to visit one Disneyland Paris park? Then We would advise you to pick Disneyland Park, the one with the pink castle, and the many shows and rides.
Also, this is the Park with the nighttime spectacular.
Travel from Disneyland Paris to Paris
This is very easy. You must first go to the train station, which is located between the Disney hotels and the theme parks, next to Disney Village.
From the Disney Hotels, walk to Disney Village—the same route as to the theme parks—but when you get to Annette’s go straight out the gates. You will then see a large building on the diagonal right. That’s the train station.

There is also a sign guiding you towards the station.
You can also take the shuttle bus to the train station, from both the Disney Hotels and the Partner Hotels. The bus will take you straight to the train station, so that’s easy.
From the station, take the RER-A in the direction Saint-Germain-en-Laye. This train will take you to the city of Paris. This train leaves every 15 minutes and will take about an hour to get to the city. Plan your trip in advance through Google Maps to make sure you have the quickest route.
Also, tickets can be bought through the machines that also can be set to English, or directly at the booths. Also, in the hotels the staff is usually very helpful, and can give you some tips on how to travel to Paris.
And, when you are in Paris, take the RER-A in the Marne-La-Vallée Chessy direction, and you will travel to the Disneyland Paris train station.
Don’t forget!
Finally, one of the things you have to remember is that Disneyland Paris has a reservation system, which means you can only enter the parks with a valid reservation. The easiest way to gain access is to buy a dated Disneyland Paris ticket, with the date printed on it, or book a stay at a Disney Hotel.
Then you don’t have to worry about whether there are reservations available.
Do you already have your tickets or have an Annual Pass? Then make the reservations as quickly as possible. They do get sold out, and you will be denied access at the gates without a reservation. Even with a valid ticket.
