Shows and parades at Disneyland Paris are an important part of your day. When the lines are too long or if you don’t feel like visiting an attraction for a while.
The Disneyland Paris app shows you exactly what entertainment you can expect that day. This makes it very easy to plan your day around these shows and parades.
Now I hear you thinking, such a show or parade, isn’t that a waste of my time? I understand that very well, myself I don’t always have the patience for that either. But the shows and parades at Disneyland Paris are of a different level than at other theme parks.
Plus for kids, it’s the way to see their favorite Disney characters in the flesh. For fans of musicals, there is even a Broadway-worthy Lion King Show.
What shows at Disneyland Paris?
At the time of writing, there are a number of shows at Disneyland Paris. Entertainment offerings can change so always check at the beginning of your day what time the shows and parades are held and where you can find them in the Disney Parks
Shows at Disneyland Park
First, the Lion King Show: Rhythms of the Pride Lands. This is the Broadway-worthy show I wrote about above. In this show, the story of the film is told through the famous songs. You’ll sing along happily at times, but there’s definitely room for a tear as well.
The other daytime show at Disneyland Paris was developed specifically for the theme park’s 30th anniversary. This show is called Dream and Shine Brighter. In this show, the best-known Disney characters pass by in outfits specially designed for the 30th anniversary. And of course there is lots of music and dancing, a joyful show for the whole family.
For the last two shows at Disneyland Park, you must be at the castle at the end of the day. That’s when Disney D-Light will be held with Disney Illuminations following. These are beautiful shows full of drones, special effects, light shows and fireworks. Wonderful to see and the perfect ending to a Disney day.
Be sure to find a spot in time, though, because everyone obviously wants the best view.
Shows at Walt Disney Studios Park
For shows, you should definitely be at Walt Disney Studios Park as well. In this park you will find the popular Frozen show, with of course all the beloved characters and the famous sing-alongs from the movies. This is another popular show that fills up quickly so be sure to arrive well in advance.

Another show is the Disney Junior Dream Factory. In this show, aimed at young children, Mickey and Minnie take you to the Dream Factory where dreams are made. During the show, of course, all sorts of things go wrong again and the children will have to help to keep things in order. Not only do they do so, but Disney Junior characters such as Fancy Nancy and Vampirina also pass by.
Will Disneyland Paris be your next vacation destination?
Parades in Disneyland Paris
Currently, there is only one parade at Disneyland Paris. This one is called the Disney Stars on Parade. This parade travels from Fantasyland to Main Street. Along the entire route you can stand to watch this parade.
Disney Stars on Parade consists of several floats full of Disney characters. This is quite a different level from the floats you may have seen before. Really incredibly beautifully made with moving components to match the figures on it.
Between the floats, even more Disney characters stroll and there are joyful dancers who provide a magical atmosphere.
The parade is highly recommended for children who want to see their favorite Disney character in real life. What could be more special than one of the princesses waving to you? Especially at that age, a true experience.
Other entertainment at Disneyland Paris
In addition to the shows and parades at Disneyland Paris, there is other entertainment. After all, you can have your picture taken with your favorite Disney, Star Wars or Marvel character in many places.
Figures you can currently have your picture taken with include:
- Olaf from Frozen
- Baloe from Jungle Book
- Tigger, Eeyore or Pooh
- Woody from Toy Story
- Various Disney princesses
- Mickey Mouse
- Darth Vader from Star Wars
- Thor from the Marvel Universe
The photo spots have a certain theme to which several figures may belong. Therefore, sometimes you may have to wait a while for your favorite. Or you can take a picture with everyone!
Christmas and Halloween shows and parades
The parades are autumnal or all Christmas, with Santa Claus. During Halloween, the Disney villains walk around and put on a show.
While during Christmas, the shows are very atmospheric and cozy.
For that entertainment alone, it’s fun to visit Disneyland Paris during those periods!
