Recently we stayed at Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel in Disneyland Paris. We absolutely love this hotel and can’t wait to stay here again in the future. Here’s our review of the location, rooms, things to do and why you should stay here on your next trip!
About Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel
Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel is a beautiful and luxurious hotel that is themed around the Marvel universe. This is the perfect place for any Marvel fan to stay, as there are many details throughout the hotel that reflect the comics and movies.
My husband is a Marvel fan, so this hotel was the perfect pick for our Disneyland Paris trip. He loved the little details, like the wall superhero art and the Iron Man costumes in the lobby. Personally, I’m more of a Disney fan, but still I loved the luxurious feel of the hotel, and the perfect location.
Location of the hotel
The location of Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel is excellent. It is right next to Disney Village, which has many restaurants and shops, and it is just a short walk from both Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park. This makes it easy to get to any of the parks from the hotel.
There is a shuttle bus if you need it, but this will save you just a few minutes. If you can walk I would advise doing so as it’s usually much quicker.
If you are coming by train it will only take about 5 minutes to walk from the station to the hotel. The hotel also has a large car park with lots of chargers for electric vehicles, and if you are coming by bus from the airport it will drop you off right in front of the hotel.
Our room in Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel
The rooms in Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel are excellent. They are large and luxurious and come with a number of amenities. There is a coffee maker, mini fridge, safe and ironing board in each room, as well as a TV and free WiFi.
We stayed in a Superior Room, and it was very comfortable. The bed was huge, and the bathroom was very spacious. The shower had great pressure, and there were plenty of towels provided. The only downside to our room was that it faced the parking lot which wasn’t that magical.
As breakfast is not included in your stay but has to be booked separately, we decided on booking a meal plan. This included breakfast and one additional meal per night of our stay. We had breakfast in the Manhattan restaurant, and in the evening we were able to get a reservation at the Downtown Restaurant, the most popular restaurant in Disneyland Paris, located in Hotel New York.
If you have some extra money to spend, then look into booking an Empire room, the more expensive part of the hotel. When you stay in an Empire room, you will be treated like a VIP, the best perk is access to the exclusive lounge where you can have breakfast and get drinks throughout the day. And the private reception will go out of its way to make your stay even more magical.
Things to do at Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel
Make sure to take some time out of your Disney day to explore the hotel because there are many things to do at Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel.
One of our favourites was the Metro Pool. This area consists of an indoor and outdoor pool. There are lounge beds to relax and when you go there in the early afternoon you will have to pool to yourselves.
Another thing we loved was Super Hero Station. This is a photo spot that is exclusive to guests of this hotel. Here you can meet Spider-Man and take lots of special effects photos. We also went here during the early afternoon and could take as many photos as we liked.
Finally, we really enjoyed the Sky Bar. This is a fancy bar with an amazing view of the city of New York. Make sure to keep looking at the windows because you will be able to spot some Marvel characters like Iron Man and Spider-Man.
This hotel also offers a Marvel-themed kid’s play area where they can do arts and crafts, play games or watch Disney Junior.
What we loved about this hotel
We absolutely loved Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Disneyland Paris. It is an excellent hotel with great facilities, and it is in an excellent location.
Even if you are not a Marvel fan you will absolutely enjoy this hotel and all the great things it has to offer.
The only downside is the price, this hotel is very expensive. It’s about twice as expensive as Disney’s Hotel Sequoia Lodge that’s just next door. If you are planning on spending most of your time in the Disney Parks, then this hotel might not be worth it.
Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel is a luxurious and excellent hotel in the heart of Disneyland Paris. If you are looking for an upscale Disney experience with easy access to all the parks, then this is the perfect hotel for you. While it might be expensive, it offers great value for your money with its many amenities and exclusive experiences. We absolutely loved our stay in Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel!
