What to Expect From Disneyland Paris Halloween

Halloween at Disneyland Paris decorations

Disneyland Paris Halloween means spooky fun for the entire family. Expect to be immersed in the season’s spirit with fun decorations and spooky characters. Frontierland will be transformed into a Halloween land with scarecrows, pumpkins, and a Coco-inspired Day of the Dead section. Other parts of Disneyland Park might have some decorations, but most will be found in Frontierland. That way, skipping parts of the park is easier when your little ones are not in the Halloween spirit.

It’s good to know that it’s Disney-scary, so family-friendly. There might be some Disney villains out and about, but they won’t haunt and scare you.

Things To Do During Disneyland Paris Halloween

During Disneyland Paris Halloween, there are many things to do and see. From special shows and parades to meeting your favourite Disney villains, enjoying spooky snacks, and of course, lots of Halloween merchandise.

Spooky rides

One of the best ways to celebrate Halloween at Disneyland Paris is to visit the four scary rides of the resort.

The first is Phantom Manor, the haunted house of Disneyland Paris. The attraction tells the story of a bride who was left at the altar after her fiancés disappeared, and now haunts the Manor looking for someone who will marry her.

Another scary ride is The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. This ride takes place in an abandoned hotel where 5 guests disappeared after lightning struck the lift. Now it’s your turn to take the three still operating maintenance service lifts. Each lift has its own storyline, but they will all take you to the top of the building before dropping you all the way down.

The final two scary rides do not necessarily intend to be scary, but believe me, they are! Both are located in Fantasyland in Disneyland Paris. The first is Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, which tells the story of the film. You will go through a dark forest where the trees will try to grab you, and there will even be flying skeletons.

And finally, the Pinocchio ride will have you locked up in a cage, and you will even come face to face with Monstro, the scary whale.

Meeting villains and other characters

All the rides will be open year-round, but during the Halloween season, there will be exclusive entertainment you won’t see at any other time of the year. That’s also the case for Disney villains and characters like Jack Skeleton and Sally. They will wander the park and have special meet-and-greet locations.

Some other Disney characters like Goofy and Stitch will also meet guests dressed up in their Halloween costumes.

Shows and other entertainment

What you also don’t want to miss during Halloween are the shows and parades. Near the castle, there will be a show with Disney villains, and in the parade, you will see all your favourite characters dressed up in spooky costumes.

Halloween Soirée

And finally, in the last week of October, there will be two Halloween parties or Soirées. These special ticketed events are the only time of the year adults are allowed to visit the parks dressed up like their favourite characters. There will be special entertainment, shows, and even some never before seen characters like last year Kronk and Yzma from the Emperor’s New Groove.

The atmosphere is a bit more haunting, and skeleton pirates will scare you in special zones. However, you can bring your family, as children can easily avoid the scary zones.

Why You Should Visit Disneyland Paris Halloween

All in all, Disneyland Paris Halloween is the perfect holiday for families who want to have a bit of spooky fun during the fall months. It’s a great time to meet the Disney Villains and characters like Jack and Sally, who will only appear during Halloween. And it’s a pretty safe way to introduce your little ones to Halloween.

That being said, for adult, it might be a bit too family-friendly. There are no haunted houses and truly frightening experiences. So if that is what you are looking for, it’s best to skip Halloween at Disneyland Paris.

But if you are a fan of Disney Villains, the Nightmare before Christmas film, or would you just like to have a different experience in Disneyland Paris? Then you don’t want to miss Halloween!
