Around Disneyland Paris, there are several hotels. The nearest are owned by Disney and are within walking distance of the theme parks. Because of the location and because they are operated by Disney, they are also a lot more expensive. Many people, therefore, chose to stay at the Partner Hotels. These are hotels in the area of Disneyland Paris that all have a free shuttle bus to Disneyland Paris. Hotel L’Elysee Val d’Europe is one of them.
Where is Hotel L’Elysee Val d’Europe located?
Hotel L’Elysee Val d’Europe is located next to Disneyland Paris on the side of the Walt Disney Studios Park. By shuttle bus it will take you 5 to 10 minutes to get from your hotel to the entrance of the resort.
If you are travelling to this hotel by car, put the following address in your navigation:
7 Cours du Danube, Serris, France
This will take you all the way to the hotel. You can easily park your car in the garage underneath the hotel. Here you are free of charge by the way, I always like that.
By train to this hotel
You can also reach this hotel by train. There are two ways to get there. First, take the Thalys to the Disneyland Paris train station. From here you can take bus 50 from the bus station between the Walt Disney Studios Park and the World of Disney Store.
Or take the RER-A metro in the direction of Paris and get off at the first stop – Val d’Europe station. From here it is just a few minutes. If I could choose I would take the shuttle bus. You drop it off right in front of the entrance of the hotel.
In the area
Hotel L’Elysee is located next to a large shopping mall – Val d’Europe – which has stores like an Apple Store and a Primark. In the latter they sell a lot of Disney clothing, including princess dresses, and toys for a lot less than in the theme parks. Next to the mall is an outlet shopping area. Here you can buy all kinds of luxury brands at a for a lot less.
The mall also has a food court including the McDonalds, as well as unique restaurants, each with its distinctive menu. If you sleep at Hotel L’Elysee you don’t have to eat in the parks if you don’t want to. You have a lot of other options.
On Sunday mornings they organize a weekly market near the hotel. Here you will find fresh fruits, vegetables and my favourite grilled chicken. We were there shortly after the market started and it smelled fantastic. Near the market there is also a baker with delicious bread. Here you can get breakfast in the morning or take some sandwiches with you to the Disney parks. You don’t have to walk back to your hotel for the shuttle bus. In the street of the bakery is the Hi-Park by Adagio aparthotel. The shuttle bus to the Disney Parks stops here as well.
To Disneyland Paris
Compared to the Disney Hotels and the other Partner Hotels, this hotel seems to be quite far away from the parks. But in reality it is not that far away from. You can easily walk there. Then it will take you about 20 minutes. Or take the free shuttle bus that drops you off next to the Walt Disney Studios. The shuttle bus runs all day, about every half hour.
Please note that this shuttle bus does not stop at the station but next to the parking garages of Disney Village. The easiest way to find it is to walk to the World of Disney shop and then keep right towards Vapiano and Five Guys. You’ll see a large roundabout, go right and after this, you will see the bus stops.
The facilities and rooms at Hotel L’Elysee Val d’Europe
The rooms are neat and spacious. They can accommodate up to 4 people and are equipped with two single beds or, as above, one double bed.
If you come with more then you have the possibility to book rooms next to each other with a connecting door.
The Premium rooms – which are cheaper than the standard – have a safe, Nespresso machine and a bottle of water in the room. In addition, there is free wifi. The bathroom is spacious and equipped with a bath, shower, toilet, and sink.
The starting rate per night is €114. Please note that this is without tickets for the Disney Parks.
If you want something more luxurious you can book the suite. It costs just over €200 per night and is mainly more spacious than the other rooms. Furthermore, you do not have many extras here.
The main reason to go to Hotel L’Elysee is of course its good location in relation to Disneyland Paris and the city of Paris. There is not much else to do in the hotel or in the area – accept the shopping mall.
In the hotel there is a bar and a restaurant. The latter is the place where breakfast is served in the morning. In the evening it turns into a steakhouse with very reasonable prices. That can be a good alternative for the (expensive) restaurants in Disneyland Paris.
Who is this hotel for?
If you have a Disneyland Paris Annual Pass then you should definitely consider this hotel. It is very affordable, looks neat and has a good location.
In addition, it is also a great alternative for people who want a bit more luxury, but do not want to pay Disney prices for it. You are close to the Disneyland Paris resort, the shuttle bus runs very regularly and the adjacent shopping center is a nice addition.
