Closest Hotel – Disneyland Hotel
The first and most obvious choice is the Disneyland Hotel itself. As its name implies, it’s located next to the Parks. You can easily walk over in minutes for some magical fun! This hotel offers plenty of amenities, including swimming pools, restaurants, and a spa. As this is a 5-star hotel, the prices can be pretty steep, but waking up with a few of the castle is, of course, a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
This hotel is currently closed for refurbishment, with a planned opening somewhere in 2024.
Disney Hotel New York- The Art of Marvel – Second-Closest Option
The second-closest option is the 4-star hotel Disney Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel. While not quite as close as the Disneyland Hotel (about a 10-minute walk away), it still provides easy access to Disney Village and the two parks.
This hotel offers modern air-conditioned rooms with flat-screen TVs and complimentary Wi-Fi access. It also has a few restaurants, bars, and other amenities like swimming pools and a fitness centre. And this is the first Marvel-inspired hotel in the world, so if you are a fan of superheroes, this is the best place to stay!
Disney Newport Bay Club – Third Closest Option
The third option is Disney Newport Bay Club, another 4-star resort. It’s located on Lake Buena Vista, opposite Disney Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel. It has its own walkway to Disney Village, which will take you to the parks in about 15 minutes.
Regarding accommodation, it offers comfortable and well-equipped rooms with some great views of the lake. It also comes equipped with plenty of amenities like a fitness centre, swimming pool, several restaurants and a bar.
Even though this hotel has the same star rating as Hotel New York, Newport Bay Club rooms are not as large or modern; therefore, staying here is cheaper than in the other 4-star hotel.
Disney Sequoia Lodge – Fourth Closest Option
Another great option is Disney Sequoia Lodge. It’s located between the two previous hotels, also on Lake Buena Vista. This is a three star hotel, which means the rooms are not as luxurious, but significantly cheaper than the ones before.
It will take about 15 minutes to get to the parks, given you are staying in the main building of the hotel. Are you staying in one of the lodges? Then it will take an extra five minutes depending of your lodge’ location. These are the cheapest rooms in the hotel, meaning you can save money by staying a bit further away.
Disney Hotel Cheyenne & Disney Hotel Santa Fe – Fifth Closest Options
Finally, we have Disney Hotel Cheyenne & Disney Hotel Santa Fe – two more hotels located near Disney Village and the two Disney Parks, that provide comfortable accommodation for families looking for convenience without breaking their budget. These two hotels offer basic rooms with basic amenities but are equipped with flat-screen TVs plus complimentary Wi-Fi access in each room.
Disney Hotel Cheyenne is a 3-star hotel, Disney Hotel Santa Fe is a 2-star hotel and therefore a bit cheaper. Unfortunately, that also means you won’t have airconditioning in your Santa Fe room so this might not be the best accommodation during summer.
Both hotels have their own walkways to the parks, in total, it will take about 20 minutes to get there. Just like the other Disney Hotels, these hotels offer a free shuttle bus departing every 20 minutes from the main building.
Other hotels within walking distance of Disneyland Paris
The Disney Hotels are the only hotels within walking distance of the parks. There are other hotels in the area where you can walk to the resort, but this either takes a bit longer or is not the most convenient.
You will find a few other hotels across Disney Hotel Santa Fe, like B&B Disneyland Paris, Explorers Hotel, and Campanile Val de France. These hotels are within walking distance, but it will take about 45 minutes to get to the parks. Not very convenient as the free shuttle bus will get you there in just a few minutes.
There are also two hotels, Hotel l’Elysee Val d’Europe and Aparthotel Adagio, located in the village of Serris near the Val d’Europe shopping centre. You can walk from these hotels to the parks in about 25 to 30 minutes. The route is pretty straightforward and quite easy to do. These hotels also offer a free shuttle bus if you don’t feel like walking.
The benefits of staying within walking distance of the parks
- You don’t have to wait for a shuttle bus or train to take you back to the hotel after a long, tiring day. These buses are shared between multiple hotels and can get very crowded at park opening and after fireworks.
- When it rains, it’s cold, or you just need a break from the crowds, it’s pretty easy to get back to your hotel.
- The same goes for forgetting something in your room, like park tickets.
- Shorter queues at the security bag check.
- Easy access to Disney Village for dinner, some shopping, or a late-night drink.
