Best locations to get breakfast in Disneyland Paris – and we tried them all!

Breakfast in France is such a treat if you enjoy fresh pastries and bread. Eating breakfast in Disneyland Paris is one of the reasons why I easily gain a few pounds when visiting the parks because I cannot get enough of all the croissants and chocolate rolls.

There are lots of breakfast locations in the parks, hotels, Disney Village and even outside the resort, and of course, we tried them all. These are the best locations to get breakfast in Disneyland Paris!

Breakfast in Disney Hotels

Breakfast pastries in Disneyland Paris

When booking your stay at Disneyland Paris, one of the best things to add is breakfast. It can be a bit expensive, with prices ranging somewhere between €15 and €30 per person per night. However, it’s so convenient that it’s probably worth it for most people.

The breakfast at the Disney Hotels is served as an all-you-can-eat buffet with pastries, bread, fruit, eggs, bacon, beans, potatoes, cereals, yoghurts, pancakes and even Mickey Mouse-shaped waffles. There are plenty of choices, even for the pickiest eaters. My favourites are the croissants and chocolate rolls that I combine with a bowl of fresh fruit or yoghurt.

Drinks are also included, and you can get as much coffee, tea, water, or juice as you like. For babies, there is a microwave to warm up the milk if needed.

For us, breakfast at the Disney hotels is worth it, even though it’s expensive. We get up at 7 am when we are at Disneyland Paris and then we need food. So, we put on some slippers and comfy clothes and go to the restaurant to enjoy breakfast. Then we head up to the room and get ready for the day, nice and peaceful.

In the past, we made the mistake of not including breakfast during our stay because we thought it was too expensive. We woke up at 7 am, got ready, and then we had to wait in line to get into Disney Village, which wasn’t open yet. In Disney Village, there were quite a lot of restaurants offering breakfast, but either one pastry and a hot drink or a full English breakfast.

We decided to go back to our hotel and pay for the breakfast, and we have been adding breakfast to our booking ever since.

Want to know a little secret? You can have breakfast at a Disney Hotel, even if you are not staying there. Breakfast at Disney Hotel Santa Fe costs almost €10 less than in Disney Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel, and offers the same pastries, drinks, and warm meals. If you want to save some cost, just walk over to Hotel Santa Fe, go to the restaurant and have some breakfast… You didn’t hear it from us!

Eating breakfast in Disney Village

Breakfast menu at Earl of Sandwich in Disney Village

As I mentioned before, there are lots of breakfast locations in Disney Village. Restaurants offering breakfast are:

  • Earl of Sandwich
  • McDonald’s
  • Starbucks
  • New York Style Sandwiches
  • The Royal Pub
  • Annette’s Diner

Most of them offer a breakfast menu that includes a hot drink, juice and pastry. Prices for breakfast in Disney Village range from €5 to €15 depending on the type and amount of food. The all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet at Disney Hotel Santa Fe costs €19, so if you want to eat a lot of food in the morning, that might be the best option.

Breakfast locations in the Disney Parks

There are a few breakfast options in the Disney Parks. At Restaurant En Coulisse in Walt Disney Studios Park, you can get a breakfast meal that includes a pastry, juice, and hot drink for €7 (November 2022). You can add more pastries for €2 each. That can be a pretty good deal.

We tried this and the croissant was nice and filling. The juice was a great bonus. It’s not a big breakfast but it will get you going until lunch. And there was plenty of seating available when we went.

In Disneyland Park, you can get breakfast at the Market House Deli, the Cable Car Bake Shop and the Cookie Kitchen windows. Here you can buy pastries and hot/cold drinks. Seating is limited, but you can find tables nearby which are unfortunately outside. For indoor seating, go to Hyperion Café.

Character breakfast in Disneyland Paris

We forgot one breakfast location in Disneyland Park: Plaza Gardens Restaurant. This is currently the only restaurant offering breakfast with Disney Characters.

There are two servings, one exclusively for Disney Hotel guests at 8:30 am and one at 9:30 am for other guests. The breakfast is served as an all-you-can-eat buffet while the characters walk around the restaurant, visiting every table.

This is the perfect start to your Disney day, especially when visiting with little ones, as the characters really take their time for each and every guest. But keep in mind that they probably won’t be eating much, so bring a bag to (secretly) take a croissant or two with you.

Breakfast with Disney characters is very popular and reservations are fully booked months in advance. As a Disney Hotel guest, you can make dining reservations as soon as you book your stay, other guests can make them 2 months in advance. Make sure to do this, as there is no walk-up availability for breakfast.

Eating breakfast outside of the resort

Finally, if you are not staying in a Disney Hotel, there are still lots of options to get breakfast outside of the resort. Most hotels near Disneyland Paris offer breakfast for an additional fee. We really like B&B Hotel Disneyland Paris, which is not only really cheap but also has breakfast already included in the price.

Another favourite of ours is the bakery L’Atelier near Val d’Europe. Their baguettes and croissants are pretty good and affordable. When we are staying in this area, we get some juice at the supermarket and then bread at the bakery, go back to the apartment and have a nice little breakfast. Most apartments have a tea or coffee maker in the room, which we prefer over the coffee at the bakery.

Best location to get breakfast in Disneyland Paris

For us, it’s breakfast at the hotel you are staying at. Whether it’s breakfast at a Disney Hotel or one of the other hotels nearby, it’s just so much more convenient to eat breakfast before going to the parks.

When you are leaving the hotel, you want to enjoy the parks, not walk around to find the best breakfast location. Yes, breakfast in your hotel is more expensive, and there are probably cheaper options in Disney Village or the parks. But once you are in the parks, especially with little ones, they want to go explore en go to the rides, not sit at a table to eat breakfast. You don’t want to start your day with a battle, right?

That’s why we always eat breakfast before we leave for the parks because it’s convenient and gives us peace of mind. It is more expensive, though.
