Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast is one of the most interactive attractions in Disneyland Paris. The challenge is to collect as many points as possible by shooting aliens with a laser gun. You probably won’t think this is a family-friendly ride when reading that. But it is! It might cause some family rivalry, but it’s a lot of fun!
Where is Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast located?
You’ll find Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast in Disneyland Park in the part called Discoveryland. It’s quite a popular ride, with, on average, a queue of 30 to 45 minutes. The lowest waits are at the beginning of the day and at the end, then it’s usually a walk-on.
Another way to skip most of the line is by buying Disney Premier Access. This will cost about €12 per person. Is it worth it? Not really. Why?
Because the largest queue is inside, and even with Disney Premier Access, you still have to wait in this queue, which can take up to 20 minutes. So, you are skipping part of the queue, but is this worth €12 per person? No.
How to play the game?
In this interactive attraction, you will have to shoot targets. These targets are placed on aliens and props. There are three types of targets: a round one, a square one, and a triangular one.
The triangle will give you the most points, so always aim for that one.
Every time you hit the target, your blaster will make a noise, and you can see the points added to your total. You can also see a small red laser dot where you are aiming. This makes it a lot easier to shoot the targets.
And don’t forget to smile, because your picture will be taken during the ride.
Is Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast fun for the whole family?
Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast is especially fun if you are competitive because the main aim is to score as many points as possible. And to win from the other person that is with you in the cart.
All the props in the ride are done in a Toy Story style, so kids of all ages can go on this ride. It feels more like a carnival game and is just plain family fun.
And because you can improve your score, this will be one that you’ll probably ride multiple times during your visit.
