How does Disney Premier Access work at Disneyland Paris?

Disney Premier Access is a paid service that helps you reduce wait times by reserving a time slot for popular attractions in both Disney Parks. That way you are able to experience all your favourite rides even on very crowded days.

You can buy Disney Premier Access for just one attraction or as a package for all popular rides, which is called Premier Access ultimate.

We were a bit sceptical, but ended up loving this system. If you are planning a visit to Disneyland Paris, we would definitely recommend Disney Premier Access, and this is why!

How does Disney Premier Access Work?

To use Disney Premier Access, you need the Disneyland Paris app. Here you can see all the attractions that offer this service and the next available time slot.

Then, select who you are buying Disney Premier Access for. If you are all on the same booking, you will see everybody’s ticket here. Select the people who will be going on the ride, and then it’s time to pay.

After that, you will get a QR code that you need to scan at the entrance to get access to the shorter queue. Make sure that you’ve bought Disney Premier Access for everyone who will be riding because they won’t let you in this queue without a booked (and paid-for) time slot. We have seen multiple people trying to get a plus one with them in the Premier Access queue, and they were all refused. Only the people who paid for the time slot were allowed in.

The price for Disney Premier Access varies per attraction and per season. Attractions that are less popular like Orbitron, Cars Road Trip, and Autopia will start at €5 per person per ride. More popular ones like Crush’s Coaster, Big Thunder Mountain, and Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure will be a lot more expensive starting at €13 per person per ride.

You will have to pay this amount per person in your group, and children will pay the same amount as adults. Also, keep in mind that it’s only for one time. If you want to ride it twice, you will either have to buy Disney Premier Access again for that attraction or wait in line.

Premier Access is a separate queue that is much shorter than the regular one

Currently the following attractions offer Premier Access:

  • Autopia
  • Avengers Assemble: Flight Force
  • Big Thunder Mountain
  • Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast
  • Cars Roadtrip
  • Crush’s Coaster
  • Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril
  • Orbitron
  • Peter’ Pan’s Flight
  • Phantom Manor
  • Ratatouille the Adventure
  • Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure
  • Star Tours: The Adventure Continues
  • The Twilight Zone: Tower of Terror

Before buying Disney Premier Access for any of these rides, always check the wait times first. If they are 30 minutes or higher than buying Premier Access is worth it, especially if you don’t want to miss the ride. When the queue is shorter than 30 minutes my experience is to just wait in the regular queue.

Is Disney Premier Access worth it?

For us Disney Premier Access was worth it, but not on every attraction. We only used it for Big Thunder Mountain, Crush’s Coaster and The Twilight Zone: Tower of Terror. Those three are our favourite rides and we wanted to make sure we could experience them at least once during our visit.

If you use Premier Access for every ride it can get very expensive, especially for families and larger groups. Is it your only visit to Disneyland Paris, then buying Disney Premier Access could be worth it. As well as if you are only staying for one day.

What we loved about the system was that it was almost always possible to get a time slot, even for the popular rides. In the past the free Fastpasses were quickly sold out and we either ended up in a long queue or just skipping the attraction. Also, the high volume of people in the Fastpass queues made the regular wait times much longer. Now, because of the cost, just a few people will buy it. So if you would like to skip the line you can, and if not, the regular queue won’t be as long.

That’s why we like this system so much, and we plan on using it during our next visit, hopefully soon!
