In 2022, Disneyland Paris celebrated its 30th Anniversary in a big way. With unique entertainment, Disney characters in the most beautiful outfits, lots of souvenirs and even a brand-new evening show with 200 drones!
Did you miss these celebrations? No problem! Because the party continues until September 30th 2023, and the grand finale of Disneyland Paris’ 30th Anniversary even comes with some surprises.
More drones and the return of a fan favourite
One of the most spectacular shows at Disneyland Paris is Disney D-Light. This show occurs every night in Disneyland Park, just before closing time.
It starts like every other nighttime spectacular with fireworks, projections, and music, but no drones. And then they suddenly appear, and you can hear the crowd gasp in awe. We didn’t know what to expect and weren’t necessarily a fan of the idea of a drone show, but we absolutely loved it!
And Disneyland Paris has decided to kick it up another notch, as there is a new nighttime show at Walt Disney Studios Park called Avengers: Power The Night until May 8th 2023. This show features 500 drones working together to tell the exciting stories of the Marvel superheroes.
Finally, a fan favourite will return to Disneyland Paris starting April 12th, when the Disney Dreams! show will replace Disney Illuminations.
Reopening of It’s a Small World
Another fan favourite making a comeback this spring is It’s a Small World. This ride has been closed for a while but is soon ready to welcome guests again and take them on a sail around the world. The decors, ride system and outfits have been updated and refreshed during the refurbishment.
We can’t wait to see all the changes! Or to hear the classic song again.
Good news for Pixar fans
Disneyland Paris is already home to spectacular shows like Disney Junior Dream Factory, Mickey and the Magician, and The Lion King Rhythms of the Pride Lands.
And starting this Summer, a brand-new show will be added to this already impressive list called Pixar: We Belong Together.
In this heartwarming family show, you will see many beloved Pixar characters as you become part of their remarkable stories.
And there’s plenty more you won’t want to miss!
- The Dream – and Shine Brighter! Parade is a colourful dance party with lots of characters through the streets of Disneyland Park.
- Take some time to explore the Gardens of Wonder in front of the castle and find your favourite character.
- Try at least one of the food items or drinks for the 30th Anniversary, and remember to bring home a souvenir.
- And finally, you don’t want to miss meeting the Disney characters in their festive outfits.
