Are you planning a visit to Disneyland Paris and wondering if the PhotoPass is worth it? With a wide array of photo opportunities throughout the parks, the Disneyland Paris PhotoPass allows guests to capture those magical memories easily.
However, like any additional expense, it’s good to consider if the PhotoPass is a valuable investment for your trip. In this post, we’ll explore the benefits and costs of the Disneyland Paris PhotoPass to help you determine if it’s worth it for your next visit.
What is the Disneyland Paris Photopass?
The Disneyland Paris Photopass allows unlimited access to your ride photos, character meet and greet photos, and professional photographers’ pictures during your visit.
Once you get your Photopass, you can link it to your Photopass account, and voila! All your photos are available for download. No more worrying about taking blurry selfies or missing out on capturing those magical moments with Mickey and friends.
The Photopass photographers are stationed throughout the park and are always ready to capture those priceless moments. So, suppose you love collecting memories from your trip and want to relieve those happy moments long after your visit. In that case, the Disneyland Paris Photopass is definitely something to consider!
How much does it cost?
If you’re planning a visit to Disneyland Paris, you may wonder if the Photopass is worth the investment. It’s a valid question and one that many visitors have asked. After all, no one wants to spend money on something that may not be worth it.
So, how much does the Disneyland Paris Photopass cost? The Pass will cost €75 and is valid for ten days. Pictures can be downloaded from the Photopass website for up to one year after. You can buy the Photopass at the shops at Disneyland Paris or add it to your package while booking.
A Photopass may seem like a steep investment, but considering the cost of individual photos and the convenience of not constantly pulling out your phone or camera, it may be worth it for some.
The Photopass is included in the Disneyland Paris Infinity Annual Pass and can be added to the other Magic Flex, and Magic Plus passes for a fee. This pass is valid for the duration of your Annual Pass.
What do you get with a Photopass?
With a Photopass, you’ll get access to all the photos taken by professional photographers throughout the park and any attractions that offer on-ride photo options. These rides include Star Wars HyperSpace Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, Avengers Assemble Flight Force, and Pirates of the Caribbean.
It also means you can snap memories with your favourite Disney characters without worrying about taking the photo yourself. That way, you can create memories with everyone in the picture. Photos of character experiences like Princess Pavilion, Meet Mickey Mouse and Hero Training Center are all included in your Photopass.
Disneyland Paris also offers Magic Shots, regular photos with Disney characters magically appearing in them. Those are a lot of fun, as you won’t be able to see the result until it’s available for download.
You’ll get a digital download of each photo, perfect for sharing on social media or printing as souvenirs. And the best part? There’s no limit to how many photos you can take – snap away to your heart’s content!
Pros and cons of getting a Photopass
First, let’s dive into the pros of getting a Photopass. For starters, you’ll have access to all the in-park professional photographers, ensuring you don’t miss out on any magic memories and can quickly leave the selfie stick behind. You also get unlimited photo downloads, a surefire way to make the most of your park experience.
However, the Photopass does come at a cost, and you need to take a lot of photos to justify the investment. Plus, with today’s technology, many of us are content with just using our smartphone cameras, which can produce great-quality photos. And with only a handful of character meetings, Disney Photographers and attractions with on-ride images, it might not justify the cost.
My personal experience and recommendation
Let me share my personal experience and recommendation regarding the Disneyland Paris Photopass. We didn’t pay for the Pass as it is included in my Infinity Annual Pass.
On our last visit, we decided to make the most use of it and went to all the Magic Shots, Photographers, Characters, and Rides with Photopass Service. If I’m being honest, we took more photos than usual during a Disneyland Paris visit.
And for us, it wouldn’t be worth buying the Photopass, as we won’t use it enough to justify the cost. We usually just take our own camera or phone. The attendants at the Character meetings are more than happy to take a photo of you with your own camera; there is no need to get professional shots.
So, is a Disneyland Paris Photopass worth it?
In conclusion, whether the Disneyland Paris Photopass is worth it depends on your preferences and priorities. It may be well worth the extra cost for families, couples, or groups who love to capture every moment of their trip. However, it may not be worth the investment for those who are content with taking their own photos and don’t mind missing out on some professionally taken shots.
