If you’re looking for the perfect spot to make your little ones truly feel like Disney royalty, then you don’t want to miss the Princess Pavilion at Disneyland Paris. Located in Fantasyland, this magical pavilion is home to several of your favourite Disney princesses, and they have invited you for a personal meet and greet. It’s one of the most popular attractions at Disneyland Paris, with queues of up to three hours during peak season. So is it worth the wait?
What to Expect at the Princess Pavilion
The Princess Pavilion at Disneyland Paris is a magical place for kids of all ages to meet and greet their favourite Disney princesses. As you walk through the door, you’ll feel like royalty. The Pavilion is decorated with grandeur and elegance, and the walls are adorned with portraits and memorabilia of some of your favourite princesses.
Once inside, you’ll get to meet one of the Disney Princesses. It’s a surprise who will be there to meet you. Usually, there are multiple princesses in the building, so if you have a favourite, you can always ask.
At the pavilion, princesses are typically Aurora, Belle, Cinderella, Ariel, Jasmine, and Snow White. But also Rapunzel and Tiana can make an appearance. Some princesses not at the pavilion are Anna, Elsa, Moana, Mulan, and Merida.
You will be assigned a princess to meet you and your family in a private room. They will interact with you and pose for pictures. There is also a Disney Photographer who can take more professional shots you can buy afterwards or add to your Photopass.
Where to Find the Princess Pavilion
The Princess Pavilion is located in Fantasyland at Disneyland Park, next to the It’s a Small World ride. The entrance of the building is a bit underwhelming and consists of two wooden doors. This makes it easy to miss, but usually you can just follow the crowds or look for the long line outside.
When Is the Best Time to Visit the Pavilion?
The Princess Pavilion is open daily from 10 am to 5 pm. Make sure to go there first thing in the morning if you want to avoid the long lines. It will still be an hour or more wait, but that’s always better than waiting up to three hours.
Sometimes the Pavilion is open during Extra Magic Time, so watch the Disneyland Paris app. And otherwise, use the Extra Magic Time hour to already line up for the pavilion, giving you a good spot.
Other Places to Meet Princesses in Disneyland Paris
It’s always difficult when you have a little one who loves Disney princesses, but you don’t want to wait in a three-hour queue. Unfortunately, there are a few other options if you want to meet the princesses.
There is the restaurant Auberge de Cendrillon where you can dine with the Princesses, but this is pretty expensive, and the food is French cuisine and therefore not for everyone.
If seeing and waving at the princesses is enough for your little one, then find a good spot for the Disney Stars On Parade, where you will see multiple floats with Princesses. And you can always camp out at the exit of the Princess Pavilion, where the princesses will leave when it’s time for a break. They usually just walk by without stopping for photos, but usually, they will say hi to little ones.
Should you visit the Princess Pavilion?
The Princess Pavilion is a magical experience, and there’s no denying it. But the wait can be up to three hours long during peak season—so if you have young ones with you, it might be too much for them.
If your children are fans of Disney princesses, and they’re willing to queue for a while, then it’s definitely worth a visit. You’ll meet the princesses up close and personal and take pictures with them.
At the end of the day, it comes down to your preference—but I would say that if you’re considering it, why not give it a try? After all, it’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience that you won’t soon forget.
