Parking at Disneyland Paris

Taking the car is a convenient way to travel to Disneyland Paris as you can decide when to arrive, where to stop, and when to go. There is no need to get plane tickets, waste time changing trains, or take transportation from the airport to the resort. We always go by car and even take our electric car to the resort. This it what you need to know about parking at Disneyland Paris.

Where to park at Disneyland Paris?

Disneyland Paris has a large car park that can accommodate thousands of cars daily. The car park is a 10-minute walk from the parks, behind the bus stop near the station. To get there, just follow the signs to the parking until you get to the booths. Here you will need to pay a fixed fee, depending on the type of vehicle you drive.

All parking spots are shaded by a solar canopy that will keep your car cool and dry and provide lots of green energy to the resort. This is the largest solar canopy in Europe and is pretty cool if you are into green energy and sustainability.

If you have an electric car, you can charge it for free at the car park, but keep in mind that the spots are limited and are full within the first hour op park opening. Most people will leave their cars until they return in the evening, blocking the spots for others, but last summer we had an amazing gentleman who took his car out freeing a spot to give my car some much needed energy.

Parking at the Disney Hotels

All Disney Hotels have a car park that can only be entered by hotel guests. You need to show proof that you are staying at the hotel to get access, so keep that near you when travelling by car.

Parking at the Disney Hotels is free, and you can leave your car there for the rest of your stay. To get to the parks you can walk or take the complimentary shuttle bus. If you are staying in a Disney Hotel you get a MagicPass that also gives you access to the main Disneyland Paris car park near the parks for free.

Are you staying at Disney Davy Crockett Ranch? Then you will need a car as there is no bus transportation to the parks. You can park your car at the main car park near the parks for free, but don’t forget your MagicPass otherwise you will need to pay for parking.

Disney Davy Crockett Ranch is a pretty big resort but thankfully you can park two cars next to your cabin, and that’s all included in your stay.

Other hotels near Disneyland Paris also offer parking, some at an additional fee. The only downside is that you can’t park for free on the Disneyland Paris Car Park.

Taking an electric vehicle to Disneyland Paris

One of the things I was afraid of when getting an electric car was not being able to charge. Especially, when travelling abroad. Thankfully, Disneyland Paris is a great destination when you have an electric vehicle.

Each Disney Hotel has multiple chargers that you can use for free. You don’t need to pay for electricity which is an amazing bonus. If they are full when you arrive, then go back early in the morning or late in the afternoon when people leave to travel home.

We’ve always managed to find a spot to charge our car, but were informed that if the chargers were full you can ask the front desk to call other hotels to see if you can charge there.

At the main car park near the parks, there are a few charger but they are always full, so I wouldn’t bother.

Do you need a car?

At Disneyland Paris you won’t need a car. Most hotels offer complimentary shuttle busses to and from the parks. The resort also has a train station that connects the parks with the city of Paris and the nearby airports.

The only resort where you will need a car is Disney Davy Crockett Ranch. This resort doesn’t have a shuttle bus, there is no public transportion, and you can’t walk to the parks from there.

Hopefully, you now know everything about parking in Disneyland Paris. If not, just leave a message, and we are happy to help!
